NASYA THERAPY

Nasya therapy, also known as Nasya Karma, is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment involving the administration of medicated oils or herbal formulations through the nasal passages. It is primarily used to detoxify and strengthen the head and neck region. Here are some of the key benefits of Nasya therapy:

Procedure of Nasya Therapy

Positioning:

The patient lies down comfortably with the head slightly tilted back.

Cleaning Nasal Passages:

The nasal passages are cleaned with warm saline or herbal steam to remove excess mucus.

Application of Oil or Herbal Drops:

A trained practitioner administers medicated oils or herbal liquids through the nostrils using an Ayurvedic dropper or syringe. The application is slow and gentle.

Retention:

The patient is usually instructed to keep the head tilted back for a few minutes to allow the medicated oil to absorb and work effectively.

Post-treatment Care:

The patient remains calm and avoids exposure to wind or dust immediately after. Rest is recommended.

Duration and Frequency:

Usually performed in a series of sessions, depending on the condition.

Each session may last about 15-20 minutes.
